A PERFECT CIRCLE: THIRTEENTH STEP 2003-2004
SPRINGFIELD, MO [SHRINE MOSQUE]

I just went and saw A Perfect Circle last night in Springfield Missouri, December 11th. I love like 3 hours from Springfield, so we left our house at like 8 am, to get there at 11, and stand in lines in the freezing cold until 6:30. We saw APC's buses in a local parking lot, so we stood outside of them and proclaimed our love for Jeordie. (Typical Fans aren't we) After that, there was some stirring on the bus, so we left.

About 4:35 the buses came by and parked in a line along the side of the building for a sound check, and we stood down and saw the band. I screamed to Jeordie, and he smiled.

At 5:45, a local radio station, 106.7 (was sponsoring the event) was giving away cds, shirts, and backstage passes, but you had to reach into pecker heads box which appeared to hold pecker heads pecker. I didn't win a backstage pass, I get a guy go in front of me and he won my backstage pass. :( So I gave my new cd to a friend, because I already had it.

6:27 Everyone was waiting frantically for the doors to open, finally they did, but no one got through without a full pat down. Luckily, someone in our posse took a purse in which they didn't search with cameras. Heh. We didn't get any pictures though.

We sent one friend through the center gate to run in and save us all a spot in the very front against the barricade, and we ran in after them. We stood there for an hour waiting for the opening act, and halfway through their act, I felt sick, so I tried to push through the crowd to go to the restrooms, and I passed out...

Everyone picked me up and I was 'crowd surfing'. The only thing I actually remember doing was grabbing the pair of sunglasses that had been twiggys from the DTTW tour in 96'. They lifted me over the barricade and into an EMT's hands. They told me my blood pressure was like 62. over 189...I guess that’s not good, but I whined till they let me back in my spot in the front row, and not a minute to soon, APC came out.

I started crying, I knew I would, and halfway through the show, Jeordie started talking to me from the stage, he get saying wow, and why are you crying. I think. It was hard to lip-read. Any who, we got his attention because I knew where we needed to stand to be in front of him.

I never took my eyes off him to look at the other band members, I didn't care about them. James Iha told some really stupid jokes "What’s everyone’s favorite Christmas wine" .... "I don't want to eat my Brussel sprouts"

Jeordie was amazing, I wish I could have seen them all over again. He was a little put off by my constant tearing, and I tried to stop, but every time he looked up, I started again.

Anytime from now on he comes within 8 hours of driving from here, I'm going. I loved the show so much, we didn't get an encore...but Jeordie did come out and say hello to me, which was pretty cool, and then we went home. The best day of my life.
