I got to the show at the end of Peaches' set, so I can't really make any kind of a judgement about her performance. The most notable thing about her was the part where she ran off the stage and into the crowd, and at one point she was about six feet behind me and my friends, which was pretty cool. My friend, who had come to the show only to see her, totally freaked out. I had to laugh at the security guards who ran after her, because those guys couldn't look like they hated their job more. Poor dudes, I hope they got some kind of "crazy performance artist" bonus for that.

In between Peaches and Bauhaus' sets, we met up with an old friend of one of my friend's fathers, who had come with us to the show. The father's friend happened to be one of the sound guys for NIN, so he got us third row seat tickets that kicked the asses of the tickets I'd bought, and backstage passes. (THANK YOU!) So yeah, I was in heaven.

Bauhaus, was, in one word, hilarious. I can't say I enjoyed their music much, and they also had the "Queens of the Stone Age Complex" (they put on a good live show for about the first 15 minutes, then it's hellishly boring) but at least we were entertained. I really tried not to laugh when Peter Murphy was "gifting" roses to the crowd via a huge stick, or when he was doing his little arm-flapping thing, but I completely lost it when he said, "The birds are gone! CAWWW!" I think that was the best quote from the night.

Nine Inch Nails was (as always) phenomenal. I'm amazed that these people have been on the road for a year and a half and they still manage to blow me away, every time. I really don't know what I can say to express how amazing they were, because I've tried to before and I just don't have the words. I will say that my friend who came only for Peaches and her middle-aged father both said that they weren't expecting to like NIN, but they couldn't stop talking about them afterwards. I never really liked "Down In It" on PHM, but when they played it I completely flipped out, it was so good. Maybe it's the way they sped it up, or they incredible energy they showed, but it completely worked. Everyone in the band was up to their usual great form, and completely soaked in sweat. (As Trent noted, it was fucking hot, in the 90's and humid!) This show was just a reminder of how talented Jeordie is, switching between guitar, bass, and piano during the course of the set. Alessandro appeared to be having technical issues with his equipment during the beginning, and Jeordie was helping him out when he wasn't playing. (He was cleaning off a little window thing, but that's all I can tell you, as I have no idea of what it was.) Jeordie started hand banging and jumping up and down like a maniac during "Down In It", which made the energy onstage skyrocket. I think the worst part about the whole thing was when I realized that this was my last NIN for a while.

Backstage, we hung out in this odd little tent outdoors before the guitarist from Bauhaus came down and told us all to come inside, because the party outside was boring. We all ended up hanging out in their dressing room, where I met several interesting people, Jeordie not included unfortunately. I did talk to Josh Freese for a bit, and he's a really nice guy. He was very funny and polite, shaking the hand of everyone who introduced themselves to him. It was the perfect ending to the perfect show, even though the car ride back was a bit bittersweet.

Everything about this show was fucking amazing. Trent better hurry up and put out a new album, because I miss these concerts already, dammit!

Saratoga show was amazing. From the moment Somewhat Damaged started there was non stop rocking for an hour and a half.

I managed to get a spot on the rail with my friends Elise and Sara, and we rocked out the entire time. The pit was not a full capacity, I spoke with the Security and I asked him how many people did the pit hold and he said about 156 people but there were maybe about 100 or so of us in there and it was all Spiral members. There were some people that tried to jump the barrier that separated seats and the pit but those people got ejected pretty quickly. There were also a few in the pit that tried to push up to the rail but there efforts went no where because they are either pushed back or got the shit beat out of them for trying to do so.

Anyway, I digress.

Peaches was just um, wow. She is def original. Peaches was good though I liked her, she’s dirty and entertaining. At one point she walked along the rail with the help of security and she crouched down in front of this one guy on the rail and the look on his face was priceless. At the end of her set she came down into the audience and ran through which was funny because the security guards had to keep up with her. Peaches’ show was good, funny and entertaining. Bauhaus was amazing. Peter Murphy is just so out there it was great. Daniel Ash is an amazing guitarist. They played for about an hour, and the music was great. Peter Murphy was flamboyant and entertaining. At one point he handed out some roses with this huge stick.

NIN came out around 9ish or so, and opened with Somewhat Damaged. Trent’s energy level was up there. He was loud and angry, and it was great. He didn’t say much except for a few thank you’s here and there and that “it is fucking hot up here” at some point.

JOSH FREESE! was right on as always. He banged the shit out of that drum kit. He is the right drummer for NIN.

Jeordie rocked out pretty hard. He was awesome. Headbanging and what not he went off. He was over by Alessandro and he was rubbing his fingers on that clear box thingy that Alessandro has on his keyboard set up, and fought with his guitar a bit as he was trying to take it off at the end of the song in exchange for another one.

Aaron, he was all over the place, kicking and running, knocking shit over. A few times he came over to our side and came pretty close to the edge of the stage and kicked I really thought he was kick the security guy in the head that’s how close he was.

The show was awesome, amazing, and energetic. It was hotter than hell but great. I loved that we got songs like Somewhat Damaged, Non- Entity, La Mer, Into The Void, Reptile and Down In It. La Mer is such a beautiful song peaceful and calm, and it leads into Into The Void which is one of my favorites I was so happy to hear it.

I had a great, great time at the show with my friends and waiting all day in the heat and humidity was so very worth it. 1 show down 5 to go, I can’t wait.
