I'll skip the whole story of waiting all day with the Spiral members, because it's fucking boring and you don't care. However, the good thing about amphitheaters is that you can hear sound checks loud and clear. We heard The Becoming, *gasps* I love that song.

We were let in the venue at around 5:20pm and I managed to get my favorite spot: the barrier on Jeordie's side. After waiting some more, TV On The Radio came out. They seem like really nice guys, I appreciated the lead singer splashing water all over us on that hot fucking day. I don't know what it was, but I felt like complete shit the whole day. I was SO goddamn tired and dehydrated, so that woke me up a bit. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get into their music.

At 7:45 pm Bauhaus took the stage. I like Bauhaus A LOT and it was great because this was my first time seeing them. Shit, they were awesome. Peter Murphy came out looking like Dracula. he's funny to watch. He does all these twirls and flamboyant dance moves and moonwalks and renditions of birds. He has great control of his voice and he puts on a good show. The bass player is badass, he's just an excellent musician. He really knows how to lay down those bass lines. Tickled me inside. Daniel Ash is another interesting character. He came out with a white fur vest, big white sunglasses, a high ponytail, and white nail polish. He's a brilliant guitar player. Just brilliant. I also saw him playing the sax-omo-phone and for some reason I found that funny. So yeah, Bauhaus was fantastic.

So, after Bauhaus left the stage and I've waited more, all of a sudden I hear screams/claps so I look up and there's Trent already onstage. It kind of caught me off-guard. They opened with Somewhat Damaged. That song played live had an intensity that's just like... damn. It makes for a great opener.

The pit was good, I had room to move, therefore allowing me to dance, and I have more fun when I dance or.. whatever I was doing. The sound throughout the show was superb. Jeordie was moving around, taking his bass off and twirling it around, doing little dance moves, jumping up and down, and head-banging. REAL HEAD-BANGING. Haha that was entertaining, he sure knows how to do that. Aaron was insane as always, he came to my side at one point. Josh beat the shit out of those drums, he was amazing. Trent was really into the whole show, he smashed his guitar during Terrible Lie. Aaron smashed his too, but I forgot during what song. Ally threw his keyboard. The light show was really fantabulous. I loved hearing Non-Entity.. such a pretty song. And I have to mention how awesome La Mer going into Into The Void is.. it was just.. fucking great, that song. I like during Burn, when Jeordie snarls out, "I never was a part of you", lol it's funny how he does it. He just looks/sounds all angry, haha. We didn't get The Becoming, but oh well, because DOWN IN IT kind of made up for it. That song was fantastic. Trent and Jeordie were throwing water bottles, and I got splashed by some of it. Woo. Good times.

During one of the last songs, I think it was THE last song, Jeordie threw a few picks on the floor, and I got one of the security guys to give me one. Yay. It's yellow with the black NIN label on it. I left the show happy because I've never gotten a pick before, let alone from The White
