A PERFECT CIRCLE: THIRTEENTH STEP 2003-2004
LONDON, ONT [CENTENNIAL HALL]
9.4.03
By Cory
Julie, Thom and I arrived at London's Centennial Hall around 6:30 p.m. Doors
opened around 7:30ish. Once inside the venue we couldn't help but notice
that Centennial Hall more closely resembled a highschool gym, rather than an
auditorium. Not quite the venue we were anticipating.
Pigmy Love Circus hit the stage around 8:30. Their set lasted an agonizing
45 minutes, and that is all I am going to say about their performance.
Approximately 40 minutes later, A Perfect Circle hit the stage. They
rocked!!! I have been to many concerts in my 26 years on this planet, and I
can honestly say that I have never seen a more solid performance than that
given by APC. It was evident to my friends and I that these guys really
enjoy playing together.
Several amusing comments were put forth by Maynard throughout their 70
minute set. One comment in particular re: the president, was both amusing
and well received by the crowd.
As usual, Jeordie's performance was incredible. I have been a huge fan of
his for about ten years now, and all I can say is that man only gets better
with age. He looked so sexy up there with his black button up dress shirt
and grey dress pants. He interacted with the crowd a number of times, which
was nice to see considering you never heard a peep out of him when he was
playing with Marilyn Manson. Not that I have anything bad to say about
Manson, but I believe that Jeordie's talent really shines through more so
performing with APC. Finally he is getting the credit and recognition that
he deserves.
Overall, a fantastic show. Can't wait to see them again.
