A PERFECT CIRCLE: THIRTEENTH STEP 2003-2004

A Perfect Circle is without a doubt the best live band to ever tour. I have
never experienced the feeling of pure awe that I had last night at the
Berklee Performance Center in Boston, MA. I saw APC in 2001 on their
headlining tour in California with the original line-up and this new group
blows that last one out of the water. I was skeptical when I was going to
the show whether or not I could accept this band with Jeordie as the bass
player in place of Paz, but he does an even better job, and James Iha is
exactly what the second guitar player of this band should be. The new songs
had a heavier and darker sound than those from Mer De Noms and they were
executed perfectly. The light show was absolutely stunning as well, and the
stage setup was amazing. Everything about this show was incredible. Every
aspect of every member was right on and I am still dumbfounded the next day.
I found myself laughing after every song from the sheer heaviness and
unbelievable tightness. Josh's drums were heavier than ever, the bass was
super chunky, the guitars sounded much better than the other tours and
Maynard as always was mind blowing. I realized as I stood watching my
favorite band that I was witnessing five musicians at who are all the best.
Musical perfection. This show was absolutely incredible and James and
Jeordie are perfect fits. If you have the chance to see this tour, you
better take it. Thank you A Perfect Circle.
