JEORDIE WHITE | BASE TENDENCIES
[7:15 p.m.] At a recent event coinciding with the one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, which left much of New Orleans and surrounding gulf coast communities in ruins, Jeordie took time out record a "Rockworks Riff" segment, where he shares his thoughts on Katrina and its aftermath. You can watch the video here. Rockworks is a non-profit disaster relief organization helping to rebuild devastated communities utilizing "the talent and skill of roadies, recording artists and celebrities in cause-related programs to actually do the work, not just raise funds." More information on what they do and how you can help can be found by going to their website at www.rockworks.us or visiting their myspace page at myspace.com/rockworks.
According to a report on mastersofreality.co.uk, Jeordie is one of the featured guests on UNKLE's yet untitled third studio album, which follows up 2003's Never, Never Land. Other collaborators include Chris Goss, Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Brody Dalle (Distillers), Ian Astbury (The Cult) and recent NIN tour openers Autolux. No release information is available at this time. Jeordie most recently worked with UNKLE on two tracks which appear the Goal! soundtrack, released last Fall and available for purchase here.
Two more photos of Jeordie at the Rabin Rogers 5 Year Anniversary Party can be viewed at this location. This site offers a year long membership for $10, which then allows you to order full size, high resolution prints for varying fees, depending on the size print you order. FYI, while a membership will allow you to preview the larger version of the photos as well as purchase them, the preview photos are watermarked.
A couple of photos of Jeordie taken last night at the Rabin Rogers 5 Year Anniversary Party in West Hollywood, CA can be found here (you'll have to scroll down a bit).
Just wanted to apologize for the lack of updates; things have been really quiet since the NIN tour ended last month, and understandably so, given just how long of a tour it was. Have no fear, though -- Jeordie *is* or *will be* doing something...I am just not sure what it is yet. Hopefully, I will have some news to share with everyone, uhm..."soon".
A review of the Irvine show has been added to the Tour Page. Thanks to malg82. Also, you can find a bunch of photos from the NIN tour over at Peter Murphy's official site, including this one of Peter and Jeordie in Indianapolis, where Peter joined NIN onstage to cover Pere Ubu's "Final Solution".
Tour's over, and it's been an amazing run, but now it's time to look forward to what's coming next, which includes the new release from Goon Moon. The album has been mixed and the new stuff is said to be very good -- and very different -- from the EP. More information to come soon...
NIN's official website has been updated with videos of all four songs from Jeordie's pre-show radio performance with Trent, Peter Murphy and Atticus Ross in Boston on June 23rd. Go here to access them. Also, you can find some very high quality photos from last night's performance in Pittsburgh, PA by clicking here. Enjoy!
