JEORDIE WHITE | BASE TENDENCIES
Here is some updated information I got over at the ETS message boards regarding Jeordie's performance with Trent, Peter Murphy and Atticus Ross this evening. In addition to the live broadcast on WAAF, it will also be rebroadcast later today on both WBCN 104.1 and WFNX 101.7 (Greater Boston area)/92.1 (New Hampshire/Southern Maine). WBCN does not have streaming capabilities but WFNX does. The person who posted at ETS stated that the rebroadcast of the performance will probably be better quality than the live version. If I get anything specific regarding the time of the rebroadcasts, I will post it here.
As some of you are probably aware, the current NIN tour has featured a series of exclusive live radio performances with Trent Reznor and Peter Murphy. Another performance is set for tomorrow evening in Boston and this one will also include Jeordie and Atticus Ross. It appears, from rehearsal footage that was aired briefly on the Spiral yesterday, that Jeordie will be playing guitar while Trent is on bass. If you are attending the Boston show and are a member of the Spiral, you might want to get down to the venue a little earlier on the chance that maybe some Spiral members are let in early to witness the performance (this happened to varying degrees in both Atlanta and Washington DC). If you are not attending the show, you can still listen live by tuning in to WAAF 107.3 or going to waaf.com to listen on line. As a heads up, these performances have been taking place around 5-5:30 p.m. local time.
Ever wonder how Jeordie relieves the boredom of the road and the tediousness of closing out NIN's set night after night after night with "Head Like A Hole"? Take a look here, where Jeordie shows a new artistic bent with stage makeup. FYI, this photo is available for purchase as an 8x10 or 11x14 over at frcphotos.com, where other photos from this same performance show Alessandro apparently giving Marilyn Manson a run for his money in the makeup department. Meanwhile, some photos from NIN's headlining performance at the Sasquatch Festival on 5.26.06 have been added to the NIN Live gallery. Minus the face art. Thanks to RealLowVibe for permission to add these.
A review of NIN's performance at the Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Morrison, CO has been added to the Tour page and can be accessed directly here. Thanks to Squigy for the write up. The Candid gallery has also been updated with a couple of photos from Dallas, TX sent in by Meghan Mitchell.
NIN, in conjunction with Front Row Center, will now be giving fans a chance to purchase exclusive, professionally taken photos from each show on this leg of the tour. The photos, taken by nin.com's Rob Sheridan, will be available at www.frcphotos.com as 8x10's or 11x14's and will usually be up within 24 hours after the show. More info is available at nin.com or the aforementioned frcphotos.com.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the KROQ "Breakfast with NIN" show, which was taped yesterday afternoon in Los Angeles, will air on Friday morning on the Kevin & Bean show, which I believe airs from 6:00 a.m-10:00 a.m. For those of you not in the LA area, you can listen on line by going to kroq.com.
I'd also like to remind you guys that NIN will kick off the final leg of their tour on Friday night with a headlining performance at the Sasquatch! Festival in George, WA. As reported last month, a webcast will be available via msn.com, although it is still not clear whether all performances will be shown, or just portions of some, etc. Can't hurt to check it out, though. NIN are expected to take the stage somewhere between 9:30-10:00 p.m.
Los Angeles radio station KROQ will be giving away passes all this week to their exclusive "Breakfast with Nine Inch Nails" show which will be held at a secret location presumably in the LA area. Tickets will not be sold to the general public for this show and you must listen to the radio station for your chances to win. Details can be found at www.kroq.com.
With Nine Inch Nails on a short break from touring, word is that Goon Moon are busy mixing tracks for their full length follow up to last year's EP "I Got A Brand New Egg Layin' Machine". No info on a release date yet but I will be sure to keep everyone updated as more news comes in.
I know this is well in advance of the actual show date, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up that a live webcast of the Sasquatch! Festival, which Nine Inch Nails headlines on May 26th, will be available via this link. I don't know at this point whether or not the entire festival will be shown or if it will be just snippets of various performances. I will remind everyone closer to the date and give more details if I have them. In the meantime, you might want to bookmark the page.
The San Diego Union-Tribune has posted 3 pages of photos from Nine Inch Nails' Las Vegas performance on Saturday night. Go to pages 2 and 3 for photos of Jeordie. A review of the show, if anyone is interested, is also available here.
