In a recent interview, Amen's Casey Chaos was asked if he thought Headband, the collaboration between himself, Jeordie and members of Queens of the Stone Age, would ever release an album. Saying he would love for it to happen, Casey explained as follows:

"I think Headband probably will [release an album] at some point. Because, I think with Headband... they're neighbors of mine, they live right down the road from me, we're friends, and I think... I hope it happens. I mean I would really love for it to happen. But the only thing now, though, is that Twiggy's in A Perfect Circle, so I think it's going to be less likely, but, who knows? Maybe we'll leak the demos. The rehearsal tapes. Because that was... Josh [Homme] and I were just beating ourselves, just going 'Man, we should have had, like, an eight track or something. Anything. Because if we would have had something set up it would have been done. We all had ideas. We all came up with songs."

Another review of the 11/20 Syracuse show has been added to the Reviews page and new tour dates in Spain and Germany have been added to APC's European Tour. Also note that there has been a slight scheduling change to the dates in Strasbourg and Lyon.

"The music lasts forever, the celebrity -- it dies out eventually." An interview that Jeordie did with Massachusetts Daily Collegian has been added to the Press page.

I normally don't bother with record reviews since, even if it's a good review, it's usually just the same old shit and not very in-depth, wherein you wonder if the reviewer ever really listened to the album. This one from knac.com, however, I thought was a good read, not to mention the fact that the reviewer gives Jeordie a thumbs up right from the get-go . Click here to read the article. With both shows having sold out within minutes of going on sale last night, KROQ has now confirmed the line up for the Almost Acoustic Christmas show being held on December 13th and 14th at the Universal Ampitheatre in Los Angeles. A Perfect Circle will NOT be playing either night.

A review from APC's show in Syracuse last night has been added to the Reviews page. In other tour-related news, two more dates have surfaced for APC's European trek, those dates being January 26th in Zurich, Switzerland (Volkshaus) and the 27th in Vienna, Austria (Bank Austria Halle). Dates for Japan and Australia are expected to be announced shortly.

November 20, 2003

If you haven’t already seen the news at aperfectcircle.net, it is strongly rumored that APC will be among the acts to play the KROQ Acoustic Christmas show to be held at the Universal Ampitheatre in Los Angeles on December 13 and 14. Tickets go on sale tonight at 7 p.m. (check KROQ’s official website for more information), but the catch is that the lineup won’t be officially announced until tomorrow morning at 7:15 a.m. and therefore it is not known which day APC would be playing if they do indeed play. So, if you’re the gambling sort – this one’s for you. Other acts rumored to be appearing are Jane’s Addiction, The White Stripes, Linkin Park, AFI, The Distillers, The Deftones, and No Doubt.

The Euro dates continue to filter in over at aperfectcircle.net. The latest info has APC appearing in Strasbourg, France (LaLaitre) on January 15th, Lyon, France (LeTroubadour) on January 16th and Lisboa, Portugal (Coliseu) on January 20th.

Meanwhile, another date has rather suddenly been added to APC's U.S. Fall tour. The band will be playing the Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois on December 10th. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, November 22nd at 10:00 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

Jeordie phoned in to Ames, Iowa radio station 101.5 Channel Q earlier this afternoon to do a short interview, which is now available on the Audio page. For some reason, you can't just click on the link of this one to listen (I couldn't, anyway); instead, you will have to right click and save it to your media files, and then right click on the file and select the option to open in Media Player. It will also play in Creative PlayCenter2. [Thanks to "Larry Dallas" @ 101.5 for passing along the audio].

Thanks to various sources at aperfectcircle.net, here are the first round of confirmed dates of A Perfect Circle’s 2004 European tour:

January 25 • Milan, Italy • Filaforum
January 30 • Tilburg, Holland • Club 013
January 31 • Paris, France • Elysee-Montmartre Theatre
February 2 • Birmingham, England • Carling Academy
February 3 • London, England • Hammersmith Apollo
February 6 • Glasgow, Scotland • SECC
February 8 • Nottingham, England • Rock City

Tickets are now on sale for the UK dates at this location. Also, it is now expected that APC's tour of Australia and New Zealand (along with a return to Japan) will take place after the European trek, rather than in January as originally speculated.

Paul Schulte, lead vocalist for Orange County rockers March, was recently interviewed by troublebunchmusic.com and talked a little bit about working with Jeordie as the band's producer for their newly released EP. "It was good. He's really cool. You know, initially when he was brought to the table I was concerned 'cause I'm not a huge Manson fan per se but I do respect what they do. But after meeting him and talking to him, he's pretty much a regular guy." says Paul. "He was involved and played on all the songs a little bit here and there, guitar mostly but the production got cut short 'cause they [A Perfect Circle] started touring, so he didn't really get to complete it." He explains that Jeordie helped them achieve the sound they were looking for. "That's the reason why we picked him because he had a lot of the same ideas that we wanted to do in the studio. We didn't really want that huge thin metal guitar sound. He helped us to get more root rock, more alternative type guitar sound like what's in 'Me:Alone.'" A new fan photo has been added to the Candid gallery. Thanks to New Model No. 15 for sending this in.

We went through the ever-changing release info while waiting for Desert Sessions Vol. 9&10 to drop, and it looks like we're in for more of the same regarding the Melissa Auf Der Mauer solo album. While both MTV and Rolling Stone are going with the February release, an article over at billboard.com today indicates a late spring release instead. Not even sure it's worth guessing as to whose info is correct, since it will more than likely continue to evolve anyway.

A little heads up for Jeordie/APC fans in and around Amsterdam: aperfectcircle.net reports today that APC will more than likely be playing there on February 12 at the Heineken Music Hall. Hopefully we can expect an official confirmation soon regarding this date and the entire European tour.

Melissa Auf Der Mauer's solo album, on which Jeordie makes a guest appearance, is now set for a February 2004 release by Capitol Records. Produced by Chris Goss, the album will also feature appearances by A Perfect Circle's James Iha, Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri and Troy Van Leeuwen, Mark Lanegan, Foo Fighters' drummer Dave Grohl and ex-Zwan/APC bassist Paz Lenchantin.

Two new promo shots have surfaced in the German magazine DNAsix and have been scanned by New Model No. 15. They can be viewed in the Group/Promotional gallery.

Also, here is an update on A Perfect Circle’s touring plans for those who aren’t already aware. The current leg of the U.S. tour is scheduled to wrap up on either December 12th or 13th – it’s still not clear whether the Kansas City show scheduled for the 13th is on or not – and, while not yet confirmed, a tour of New Zealand and Australia is likely to take place possibly in January. It also appears that the band will indeed be returning to Europe sometime in January, as aperfectcircle-france is showing them as playing Paris on January 31st. It is expected that a massive U.S. tour will take place in the Spring of 2004, with dates in Canada likely as well. Overall, expect to see APC on the road until Summer 2004.
