The Burning Brides tore it up at the legendary Troubadour nightclub in West Hollywood last night, where they were joined midway through their set by Jeordie rocking out on guitar for two songs. To try to keep everyone up to date on this (and as an addendum to yesterday's report), the bottom line regarding Jeordie's plans to appear with the Brides on tour is that work on his album with Chris Goss is his first priority. As such, it's hard to commit to any specific dates/cities. It is possible he could show up at another one of the West Coast dates, and performing for a week or two in August towards the end of the tour is another possibility. Nothing, however, is set in stone. My advice? If the Brides are coming to your neck of the woods, just go! They're energetic and fun to watch and overall put on a great performance. The venues are mostly of the small/intimate variety and tickets are very affordable (roughly in the $10-15 range). If anything changes to where I do have some definite dates, I will immediately post that information here.

While I still don't have confirmed dates for Jeordie's guest appearances on the Burning Brides' current tour, it does look like he will be on board by the time the band plays Vancouver, BC on Wednesday, August 4th. Speaking with Vancouver entertainment weekly Georgia Straight, guitarist Dimitri Coats hints that the band "may well have already expanded beyond a three-piece" in time for Wednesday's show. "For this tour we're bringing Jeordie White – aka Twiggy Ramirez from Marilyn Manson – on the road with us to help out," says Coats. "He'll do the majority of the tour, playing four or five songs a night." While I've received no word of Jeordie having appeared at any of the Brides' shows to date, with the band about to hit the West Coast this would seem the logical time for him to pick up the tour. I've added another interview to the Press page which, although dated (it was done during APC's Summer 2003 promotional tour), gives more insight as to the technical side of things than the majority of interviews. This appears to be an expanded version of an interview which originally was published in the October 2003 issue of Bass Player magazine; John Ferrante, who conducted that interview, also runs the page from which this interview was taken, Ferrante's Power Equipment. Click here to go directly to the interview. Thanks to twigg5 for passing this along.

Just got back from the Axis of Justice concert tonight here in Los Angeles, which Maynard was a part of, and have information on the new A Perfect Circle album which has been rumored for release in November along with the live DVD and the Danny Lohner remix album. Before his performance tonight (an a capella version of Joni Mitchell's "The Fiddle and the Drum"), Maynard announced to the crowd that he is currently recording "a collection of political songs with A Perfect Circle". While it's not clear whether these songs will be covers or original material, this seems to confirm the aforementioned rumor of a new APC album. Thanks to eugenie de franval and skwerl at aperfectcircle.net for collaborating on the details regarding this breaking news.

I received some feedback today on Jeordie's appearance in the Metallica documentary film "Some Kind Of Monster", which opened this past weekend in select cities. According to Mari, a fan in Chicago who attended a screening earlier this week, a quick montage of the bass player auditions is shown towards the end of the film, where Jeordie is shown playing "For Whom The Bell Tolls", looking "very relaxed and cool." He is subsequently shown posing for a photo with the band. For anyone whose primary reason for seeing the film would be to see Jeordie, be aware that he is shown "for a total of about 30 seconds." The film opens this weekend in Los Angeles, San Jose, Berkeley and Oakland.
For all of you who have been emailing me with questions regarding the itinerary for the Burning Brides tour, yes, the Brides' official website does have the current tour dates posted. However, right now I have no official confirmation as to which dates Jeordie is on board for, since it appears that he will play only on selected dates. This information will be made available here as soon as I have it, so check this page frequently for updates.
Finally, the tracklisting for the "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" soundtrack has been made known and A Perfect Circle's contribution won't be a new tune as MTV's report seemed to indicate, but rather it will be a new remix of "The Outsider ("Renholder" remix).

Jeordie will be hitting the road to play guitar with the Burning Brides on the Brides' upcoming U.S. tour. The cities and dates are yet to be determined.
Also, Jeordie will be working through the month of July with producer Chris Goss (Queens of the Stone Age, Masters of Reality) and some of his other musical peers on his upcoming as-of-yet unnamed new musical endeavor that will co-exist with Jeordie's current projects. This is a real band and is not a side project. More details will unfold in a soon to be released interview with Jeordie.

A November 2003 interview Jeordie did with Harder Beat Magazine, a Dallas-based music monthly, has been added to the Press page.

Even with the tour behind them, it seems A Perfect Circle still have a few surprises up their sleeves for us. In addition to a Danny Lohner remix of Thirteenth Step rumored to be set for release on November 11th in conjunction with the live DVD, mtv.com now reports that the band will contribute new music to the soundtrack to the film "Resident Evil: Apocalypse", which arrives in theatres on October 1st. The soundtrack, which will also include music by Rob Zombie, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage and Lacuna Coil, will be released on August 24th on the Roadrunner label.
