[14:17] The UK's Download Festival has announced that the majority of performances from the main stage will be streamed live all three days June 12th through 14th via its official website. Marilyn Manson is scheduled to perform on the 13th. It is not yet confirmed whether or not Manson/Interscope Records will allow the performance to be aired, but let's hope so! I'll post here if I find out anything definitive.
If you want to hear the uncensored version of "Blank and White", not available on any of the versions of the album released thus far, you can listen now at Manson's official myspace page.

[18:06] The long wait is finally over. You can now listen to The High End of Low in its entirety at Marilyn Manson's official myspace. The album hits record stores this coming Tuesday, May 26th.
[17:43] It's official: Jeordie is Marilyn Manson's "new" guitarist. This is what Manson had to say about it in the new issue of Metal Hammer [Germany]:
"Twiggy will be the guitarist for the first time on the upcoming tour. When I first met him he was a guitarist in another band. I convinced him to play bass -- in my opinion he's the best bass player in the universe and after "The High End of Low", he's also the best guitar player I've ever heard. I think the way he plays the guitar is so arrogant, proud and complicated - it's everything at the same time and it reflects his personality."
The upcoming tour looks to be an exciting one indeed! Speaking of which -- as always, this site welcomes your reviews and photos. See the Contact page for info on how to submit your material.
[12:42] Marilyn Manson recently spoke to online music blog Noise Creep about the making of the Arma-Goddamn-Motherfucking-Geddon video and also comments on Jeordie's guitar playing on the song itself. Read the article at this location.
[10:15] Will Jeordie be switching from bass to guitar for the upcoming Manson tour? Things certainly seem to be pointing in that direction. First, there's clips of him on guitar in the video for "Arma-Goddamn-Motherfucking-Geddon. And now, though I don't have a translated transcript in hand as yet, word is that Manson has confirmed the switch in an interview that can be found in the new issue of the German Metal Hammer. Stay tuned...
[20:34] In addition to the listening party at Bar Sinister in Hollywood on 5/23 celebrating the release of The High End of Low, Interscope Records has announced more events to take place in the following cities: Philadelphia (5/20); Dallas (5/21); Seattle (5/21); Levittown, NY (5/22); Atlanta (5/23); Knoxville (5/23); San Francisco (5/24); Chicago (5/25) and Maplewood, MN (5/26). The first 100 fans to arrive at each event will receive a special gift. All of the details can be found here.
[10:38] Another in-store appearance to report, this one taking place in London. Manson and Jeordie will be signing copies of The High End of Low on Thursday, May 28th starting at 6 p.m. at the HMV store located at 150 Oxford. Wristbands must be obtained and they will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis at this store only starting at 9:00 a.m. on the 28th. Additional details are available here. You can also register for a chance to win one of 10 wristbands being given away by clicking here.
[20:30] Update: the unedited version of the video is now available at marilynmanson.com.
[10:04] You can watch the video for "Arma-Goddamn-Motherfucking-Geddon" (radio friendly version) right now exclusively at nme.com. And yes, that's Jeordie on guitar...
[10:08] Adam Freeland's new album "Cope" is now available for pre-order at freeland.fm. If you haven't been keeping up with the news here, Jeordie plays on at least three of the tracks and all around, it's a great listen.
[15:55] For the first time in several years, it appears that Marilyn Manson will once again have an official message board. The new board is still a work in progress and hasn't officially launched in its new format, but you can check it out in its present incarnation and get all the updates at this location.
[12:52] The Quietus has posted an in-depth, track-by-track review of The High End of Low on their website and you can read it here.
[14:37] If you're coming to LA for Marilyn Manson's 5/22 in-store appearance (now confirmed to be the entire band), you might want to consider sticking around on Saturday, the 23rd as well to be one of the first to hear The High End of Low in its entirety. According to its website, Bar Sinister will be holding a "very special" listening party for The High End of Low that evening, though there are no details as yet as to what time this will take place (there is a show there that night as well), how much it costs (if anything) to get in, etc. The club is located at 1652 N. Cherokee in Hollywood and if you want more information, you can try giving them a call at 323.462.1934. If I hear anything else, I'll post it here.
The final four tracks of Adam Freeland's record "Cope" have been added to freeland.fm. Jeordie is featured on bass on "Morning Sun". The album should be available for pre-order at the website any day now.
[18:16] Marilyn Manson will be making an in-store appearance on Friday, May 22nd at 6 p.m. at the Hot Topic store located at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, CA. You will have to pre-order the deluxe edition CD and T-shirt bundle at this store only, at which time you will receive a wristband which guarantees that you will get in on the 22nd. Details can be found in a blog posted at Manson's official myspace page today. Since the announcement references "meeting the BAND", sounds like it's safe to assume that Jeordie will be there as well. Should I find out differently between now and then, I'll be sure to let everyone know.
[18:40] A new promo site was launched today for The High End of Low and though there isn't a lot of content there at the moment, if you're on Facebook there is an application you can add to your page which will allow you to preview new tracks from the record each week (you will need to click on the scrolling lyrics). Right now there are three clips available: "Devour", "Arma-Goddamn-Motherfucking-Geddon" and "We're From America". Seems like these might be a bit longer than the clips currently available on iTunes.
"Pretty As A Swastika" has been added to the list of alternate version tracks from The High End of Low, but so far, it looks like it will only be available as a bonus track on a CD exclusive to independent record retailer Vintage Vinyl. Go here for the details and to purchase.
[22.49] Clips of all the songs on The High End of Low can now be heard on iTunes. Or, you can check them out here as well.
[11:13] Four more tracks have been uploaded to freeland.fm and Jeordie's now confirmed as playing on second track on the album, a cover of the 1973 David Essex song "Rock On". Really good stuff, go check it out!
You can now pre-order a "deluxe" digital version of The High End of Low from iTunes which includes an exclusive bonus track entitled "Fifteen". Since there is a track on the standard version of the album called "15", I'm not sure if the bonus track is a remix of "15", alternate version of "15" or a completely different track altogether. If you do pre-order the record, you will also receive the pre-order only bonus track "Into The Fire (Alternate Version)".
