A Perfect Circle hit New Orleans last night for a show at the UNO Arena, and anyone who made the decision afterwards to check out Burning Brides' midnight set at One Eyed Jack's got a special treat in the form of Jeordie, Josh and James stopping by to pay a visit. While James simply "hung out", Jeordie and Josh joined the Brides on stage for a late night jam. Josh jammed for only one song, but when Jeordie subsequenly took the stage he was convinced to hang out for several tunes. After reportedly joking that he would stay "only if somebody buys me a drink," and naming his poison, he found himself accommodated by several members of the audience on his request. Jeordie had also come out to jam with the Brides earlier that evening during their opening set for APC, covering a Misfits song, which was also among those played at the club gig. Thanks to Azazeal for the eyewitness account.

The Press page has been updated with an interview with Chris Goss from the German magazine Stalker. Though not an interview with Jeordie, Chris does spend a good portion of this brief interview talking about the Snowballs project and working with Jeordie, therefore I felt it would be relevant to the site. Also, this gives anyone who doesn't know much about Chris a chance to find out a little more about him. The interview can be read here. Thanks to NewModelNo.15 for sending this in.

The June 2004 issue of Metal Hammer features a report about Jeordie joining up with Masters of Reality and also on his work on the Snowballs project, which Chris Goss describes as "Velvet Underground meets Led Zeppelin...a noisy droning rock think". As previously reported here, recording for the Snowballs album will take place over the summer, with a release expected some time next year. What's particularly interesting about this article, however, is that the magazine has the Masters of Reality tour taking place in the U.S., with nothing being said about the U.K. Whether this is a typo or not remains to be seen; Masters of Reality have traditionally bypassed touring the States, with the last tour here having taken place in 1992. On the other hand, those of us on this side of the pond are certainly due for a decent round of dates. I will keep everyone posted! Thanks to StarTwig71 for sending the article this way.

"Star Wars" fanatic that he is, Jeordie was selected by Nintendo Power magazine to give his review of the new Star Wars game Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike. His comments can be read here. Thanks to slicknickshady for the find.

This tour is getting to be very hard to keep up with. Just days after it was canceled, now comes word that the Raleigh show is back on. Thanks to HaloSlippingDown for the heads up. Checking in over at aperfectcircle.net it seems that the while Clear Channel had tried to cancel it, the band refused to go along with that and had the final say in keeping the show going on as scheduled. Good news for those of you in the Raleigh area!

Been dying to know what Jeordie is driving these days (when he's not criss-crossing the country on a tour bus, that is)? Courtesy of the new issue of Revolver magazine, this information is all yours. Click here for the article and here for the photographic evidence.

There is a little bit of an update to report on the cancellation of the Raleigh show. According to The RBC Center's website the show was canceled by the promoter (Clear Channel), so it appears that the band themselves may not have had much of a hand in the decision to pull the show.

Sorry to report that another show has been canceled, this time it's the show that was scheduled on May 13th in Raleigh, NC. Ticketmaster is offering refunds to anyone who purchased tickets to this show and it looks like rescheduling of the show is unlikely. I wish I had more information to give you as to what's going on with these cancelations of late, but right now it's anyone's guess. I can only hope that this is the last time I have to report news of this nature.

It's pretty well known by now that before becoming a member of A Perfect Circle, Jeordie had been invited to audition for the open bassist slot in Metallica. According to a review from Billboard magazine posted at the Metallica fansite Encyclopedia Metallica, fans will now be able to see a bit of his audition when "Some Kind of Monster", a documentary film which chronicles the trials and tribulations encountered during the making of Metallica's "St. Anger" album, hits theaters in wide release later this year. So far, the film, directed and produced by the team of Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky ("Brother's Keeper", "Paradise Lost"), has been playing the international festival circuit after receiving critical acclaim following its screening at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival back in January. Other auditions caught on film are those of Rob Trujillo, Eric Avery (Jane's Addiction), Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails) and Pepper Keenan (Corrosion of Conformity), with the slot ultimately being won by Trujillo. Another one bites the dust. After canceling the May 5th show in Huntington, WV and replacing it with a show at the Chevrolet Ampitheatre in Pittsburgh, PA, Ticketmaster is now reporting that the Pittsburgh show has been canceled as well. I have no information at this time as to the reasons for the cancellation, whether it will be replaced with yet another show, etc., but if I find out anything I'll be sure to let everyone know. Thanks to thisdyingangel for the heads up.
