Details have emerged regarding the band’s involvement on the "From Hell" soundtrack. While they are not composing the entire score, Manson has confirmed to SLS News that he and the band have composed several pieces of 19th Century funeral marches for the soundtrack. The project is nearing completion, as they add the finishing touches to the end-credits theme, which will be the single. "From Hell" is due to be released in U.S. theaters on October 19th.

The Mansons returned to the stage last night at Foxboro Stadium, topping off the day-long WBCN River Rave held outside of Boston, MA. Despite a few sound problems early on, the band went on to deliver a blistering set amid a light rain and flashes of lightning in the night sky. The look is basically the same as on the Guns, God and Government tour, Twiggy opting for the short sleeved beige dress, and the set list was also about the same, except for the addition of "The Nobodies", which was primarily played on the European dates but on very few of the U.S. dates. Hitting the stage just after 10 p.m., the band played for approximately 45 minutes. The set list is as follows:

1. Count to Six and Die
2. Irresponsible Hate Anthem
3. Astonishing Panorama of the End Times
4. Disposable Teens
5. The Dope Show
6. The Fight Song
7. Rock is Dead
8. The Nobodies
9. Sweet Dreams
10. The Beautiful People

No special effects or props, just a straight up musical assault, which proves that these guys CAN stand on their music alone.

Two more non-Ozzfest dates have been added:

Sunday, July 1 - House of Blues, Las Vegas, NV (on sale 5/26 @ 10 a.m.)
Wednesday, July 11 - House of Blues, Myrtle Beach, SC (on sale 6/2 @ 10 a.m.)

Update regarding ticket sales for the New Orleans show on June 15th. Ticketmaster screwed up (imagine that!) and mistakenly listed tickets as going on sale yesterday at 3 p.m. In reality, tickets do not go on sale until this Friday, May 25th at 10:00 a.m.

Just a reminder if you haven’t already done so to sign the petition supporting Manson’s right to play in Denver. The movement started by Citizens for the Protection of the Right to Free Speech is gaining momentum, garnering press coverage in such publications as the Denver Post. The petition, along with updated news and information, can be found at their website, www.supportmanson.homestead.com.

Finally, according to a post by Mr. Manson on the bbs, it appears that Manson's work on the soundtrack for the film "From Hell" will be a collective effort by the band rather than just the man.

In spite of the protests being mounted in Denver, it appears the show will go on, with Manson now appearing quite eager to perform at Ozzfest on June 21st. In a statement issued last week, he promises to "provide a show where I balance my songs with a wholesome Bible reading. This way, fans will not only hear my so-called 'violent' point of view, but we an also examine the virtues of wonderful 'Christian' stories of disease, murder, adultery, suicide and child sacrifice."

Support is still needed, however, to counteract pressure being placed on officials and the concert's promoters to pull the plug on the band's appearance. An online petition is now available at a site set up by Citizens for the Right to Freedom of Choice, and letters of support can also be forwarded to them. The petition and letters will be delivered by them to the CPR (nomanson.org) and to the Colorado state government at a rally they are organizing, to be held on the evening of June 20th in response the the CPR's rally of that same evening. Visit the above site for further details and ongoing updates.

While Marilyn Manson has signed back on for Ozzfest Denver, protesters in the area are rallying to have his performance cancelled. Citizens for Peace and Respect have written letters to SFX Music, Sharon Osbourne and the Denver Post airing their objections to Manson's performance, which they claim promotes "hate, violence, death, suicide, drug use and attitudes and actions of the Columbine High School killers". Also in the works is a public meeting to be held on the evening of May 21 and a rally on the evening of June 20, locations for both to be announced at a later date. A protest is also planned at the event itself on June 21. Even if you are not from the Denver area, I strongly urge you to contact them at info@nomanson.org to show your support for the band and for First Amendment rights. More importantly, you should also contact state and local officials in Colorado, and the concert promoters, in order that your voice be heard. These are, after all, the people who will ultimately decide whether or not to give in to this organization's desire that Manson be banned from playing Ozzfest.

Another new live shot has been added to the Live photos page.
