NEWS ARCHIVES - MARCH 2004

March 31, 2004

With tour dates being postponed and reshuffled over the next week or so, there is good news to report for those of you in Florida. Two new dates have been listed at ticketmaster.com, May 21st at Mizner Park Ampitheatre in Boca Raton and May 22nd at Teco Arena in Ft. Myers. Tickets are due to go on sale this Saturday, April 3rd.

If you've been to aperfectcircle.net in the last couple of hours, you already know that the Sacramento show scheduled for tomorrow night has now been canceled, again due to Maynard's being down with the flu and losing his voice. Now the APC official site has announced that all shows through April 2nd have been postponed, which would add Long Beach (4/1) and San Diego (4/2) to the list. Rescheduling these shows has also resulted in dates in Boise (4/5), Spokane (4/6) and Vancouver (4/8) being postponed. Sacramento has now been moved to 4/4, San Diego to 4/6 and Long Beach to 4/7. As with the Las Vegas show, all of these postponed shows will be rescheduled, with the new dates to be announced in the near future.

A review of the El Paso show has been added to the Reviews page. Thanks to Mykur for an excellent write up.

Due to Maynard's being ill with the flu, tonight's show at The Joint in Las Vegas had to be canceled. The show will be rescheduled, but my guess is that it won't be until right before or right after the June 3rd Las Vegas show which was recently added. The tour finishes up at the Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Denver, CO on June 13th.

Another article/interview, this one from today's El Paso Times, has been added to the Press page.

March 25, 2004

A Perfect Circle is scheduled to perform a live acoustic set as a part of Seattle radio station 107.7 The End's "End Sessions" series, presumably during their stop in the Seattle/Tacoma area on April 9th. It looks like the only way to attend this special, one-of-a-kind performance will be to win tickets from the station.

In other tour-related news, the Rapid City, SD show scheduled for April 13th has been canceled. I called the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center to find out the reason for the cancelation and was told it was due to "routing issues", that their routing "took them somewhere else". The show is not likely to be rescheduled.

Thanks to aperfectcircle.net for the updates.

March 24, 2004

An brief interview from the March 21st edition of the Albuquerque Journal has been added to the Press page. Also, although the June 6th San Jose date has been taken off Ticketmaster's listings for some reason, it does still appear here on the Clear Channel website listings, so I'm guessing this show probably will take place.

March 23, 2004

Another new date has just turned up at Ticketmaster's listings for A Perfect Circle: Sunday, June 6th at the San Jose State Events Center in San Jose, CA. Tickets go on sale on April 4th.

March 22, 2004

An interview with Oklahoma City's The Oklahoman has been added to the Press page and can be read here. StarTwig71 has also sent in a little blurb from this week's Kerrang, which can be read here.

March 21, 2004

A Perfect Circle apparently likes Denver. In addition to the recently announced show at the Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Denver on June 13, the band will also do a show in Colorado Springs, on June 12 at the City Auditorium, making for a total of 4 Denver area shows on this tour. Thanks to skwerl at aperfectcircle.net for tracking down the name of the venue since I missed that part of it when the date was announced just prior to the Denver show on Saturday night. Speaking of the Denver show, some photos from that performance have been added to the Live gallery. A review of the tour opener in Salt Lake City is also available on the Reviews page. Thanks to Ty Silva for the write-up.

With A Perfect Circle set to play a sold out show tomorrow night at the Magness Arena in Denver, Colorado, Jeordie spoke to the Rocky Mountain News, giving some insight into the writing process involved with Thirteenth Step. Click here to read the interview.

The link can be found in the news item dated March 15th. If this doesn't work, there are also two options over at aperfectcircle.org, which can be found on the "News" page.

The video for APC's latest single, "The Outsider", will be added to rotation by Fuse TV on Monday, March 8th.

March 2, 2004

A Perfect Circle's official site has confirmed the May 9th date in Glens Falls, NY as well as announcing additional dates: May 10th in Augusta, ME (Civic Center), May 12th in Norfolk, VA (Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre), May 13th in Raleigh, NC (RBC Center), May 14th in Charlotte, NC (Cricket Arena) and May 15th in Atlanta, GA (Gwinnett Arena). A show has also been added for May 5th in "Hunington, CA" at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena. Since the band is nowhere near California at this time, the correct location is more than likely Huntington, WV.

Another fan photo has been added to the Candid gallery, thanks to teegs.

March 1, 2004

A new date on APC's Spring tour has been listed on Ticketmaster's website. The band will perform at the Nassau Coliseum on Friday, May 7th in Uniondale, NY. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, March 6th through Ticketmaster.
