Anyone who has been waiting to hear Twiggy sing now has their first chance to do so. Not only does he play bass on the Masters of Reality cover of "Devil's Radio" which appears on the George Harrison tribute album Songs from the Material World, but he also provides vocals along with MOR vocalist Chris Goss.
In other news, though it has yet to be mixed and mastered, a tentative release date for Desert Sessions Vol. 9-10 has now been set for July 29th on Ipecac Recordings.
Camp Freddy, with whom Twiggy has made several guest appearances in the past, will be making their national television debut on Friday, March 28th on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. While the band is not promising any guest appearances, they are also not ruling out the possibility. Of course, even if there are any guests, it goes without saying that there is no guarantee that Twiggy would be one of them. However, I thought I would pass along the information anyway since this show is LA-based and the possibility of a guest appearance, no matter how slim, is always there. For anyone in the Los Angeles area who would like a chance to get tickets to the live performance, go to this location for more info.
For anyone who has been looking for Amboogalard's A New Hope, this hard-to-find CD is now up for auction on eBay at this location, with 3 days and 7 hours to go and a current high bid of $15.50.
Twiggy has joined Chris Goss and Masters of Reality to play on their cover of George Harrison's "Devil's Radio", which appears on the recently released George Harrison tribute album Songs from the Material World. A 30 second sample of the song has been added to the Audio page and can be directly accessed by clicking here. While this album doesn't seem to be readily available in record stores, it can be purchased online by going to www.amazon.com or towerrecords.com.
